The Gospel

The Gospel has been part of God’s plan since before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-10). The Bible teaches that God is Holy (1 Peter 1:16), and three persons in one God (Matthew 28:19-20). When Adam sinned in Genesis 3, all of mankind fell into sin. Without Christ, every individual, while physically alive on this earth, is spiritually dead in his or her trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1-3). But God is merciful and loving, so He provided His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to make atonement for sins by His blood (John 3:16; Romans 3:23-26).

If one receives Jesus Christ as the only Savior and Lord, though previously guilty before a Holy God, God takes the record of debt that stood against the sinner and nails it to the cross (Colossians 2:14). Jesus died on the cross, shed His blood, was buried, rose again the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Here at Calvary, we proclaim to be people that have been lost and dead in our sins, but we have trusted in the way, the truth, and the life, Jesus Christ!  (John 14:6)

We are awaiting the day when we will no longer fight sin. While on this earth, we point people to the one true God, and the way of salvation that is in Jesus Christ. We invite you to trust and follow Him today, and we would love the opportunity to tell you more about Jesus!
